Christopher D. McDonald is an author and designer from Sydney.
His latest novel, The Lightreaders, won the prestigious NSW Writer’s Centre Varuna Fellowship. Several of his short stories have been shortlisted for awards. He has recently begun pitching The Lightreaders, while his second novel, Tirus Hanging Gardens, is still under consideration by publishers. He is soon to complete a Master’s of Creative Writing at UTS.
As a designer, he was the lead CAD design at Manifester’s 3D Printing and Design Workshop, specialising in Industrial Design and 3D Printing. Since then, he has been working for small manufacturers, both in the the US and in Australia, in their R & D and tool-making departments.
